Daddy Daughter Dance...

This March Aida and Alex went to their first Daddy/Daughter dance. It was such a special night for all of us. Aida was excited and a little nervous at first but then she got really excited about going out with her daddy. The dance was organized by the local Indian Princess group at Eldorado Country Club. Aida was a little nervous so she wanted me and Christopher to tag along -- we did and we hung out in the lobby. It was so sweet. Each little girl got a corsage upon check in and Aida thought this was too cool. There was dinner and dancing and of course a hula hoop contest . I am so happy Aida went to this dance with her Daddy...I know this is the beginning of many more special opportunities with her daddy. The whole night made my heart smile.

We love you Aida!!!

Fun Times with Aida...

A few weeks ago Aida celebrated Spring Break. Being home with the kids during my maternity leave has been so wonderful because it has given me the opportunity to do some things that I would not have been able to other wise (outside of giving birth) like being home with Aida and going on a date with her everyday during her break. Here is what we did for fun with her week off... We ended up going to Gattitown twice...the first time Aida was not having it and kept telling me that this was not the "real Chucky Cheese" until she spotted the pirate ship ride and the face painter and then thing started turning around for her! Here she is on our second Gattitown trip for the week. We went with our friends the The Lau's and Aida and Kiana had so much fun riding rides and playing air hockey!! As you can see from the picture we visited the face painter the second time we went to Gattitown too!!!
Aida and Kiana on the roller coaster simulator...most people would of had a headache from this but these two just laughed and laughed.

Aida also wanted to try ice skating. So on Saturday afternoon with Daddy and Baby Christopher in tow we went to the Frisco mall to ice skate...it was really hard for Aida and for Alex.

Every time Aida fell down she would say..."daddy this is really slippery" It was so cute. They went around the rink a few times but she loved it the most when Alex would just push her in between his legs and they would go fast...I was the crazy mom yelling from the stands "You Can Do IT Aida!!!"
On another day at the mall Aida had her first Build A Bear experience. She took it very seriously...here she is waiting patiently for her bear to get his heartbeat and his stuffing...
This was the first day of spring break when we went to Gattitown and met Ms. Denise the face painter for the first time. Christoper looks scared by his big sister the crazy cat...

On the pirate ship ride I mentioned earlier. We rode this at least 20 times. If Alex ever wants to know where all of our extra money goes....I think I will refer him to this post...

Aida -- mommy had a wonderful week of mommy/daughter dates with you over spring break. I love you!!!

Look Who Gets All The Smiles....

You guessed it....It's Aida!!! Christopher has started smiling this week but only really smiles on que for his big sister. He adores her...

8 Weeks Old....

It is almost impossible to believe that 8 short weeks ago I was crying my eyes out thinking that I was never going to have this sweet baby....and then quickly preparing for Christopher's delivery with all the joy and angst that comes with the process of giving birth. Baby Christopher has stolen all of our hearts over the past 8 weeks (especially his sisters) and is the most amazing gift we have received as a family. Here he is at 8 weeks...he is already outgrowing his 3 month clothes and getting the most gorgeous cheeks I have ever seen. "Baby Gorgeous", as his sister calls him, is starting to smile and sleep better at night --which mommy really appreciates. Hopefully, we will soon master that pesky 2:30 to 6:00 ish shift. He still really doesn't like to sleep then but I am confident that we will get it figured out soon :)

We Love You More Than Anything...
