Our Sweet Baby Boy...

So here is one of many pictures taken during Christopher's birth that melted my heart. It is a little blurry because it was taken with my iphone but you get it just the same....Aida is in LOVE with her baby brother. Thank you God...I prayed and prayed about this. I prayed that she adjusted well, that she still felt loved, and that she would be gentle and loving to Christopher. I have to say that HE heard all of my prayers and Aida is a wonderful Big Sister who is in love with "Her Baby Christopher." One of my favorite things about watching Aida with Christopher is how she comforts him -- when Christopher lets out the smallest peep....she runs over to him and says "Don't worry Baby Christopher, Aida's here...Aida's here." I know he already loves the sound of her voice. Due to the ice storm we didn't have a ton of visitors but that was OK. We had lots of wonderful family which helped all of us get through the recovery and Christopher's short stay in the NICU much better. Here are some more pictures of our sweet baby boys arrival. My two Angles. I could not be a more blessed mommy. They are both beautiful inside and out.

Mom and Chuck came for many visits. Here they are holding their new grand baby...

Minutes after he delivered. He was not happy that he was being messed with so much. But the sound of his cry was a comforting sound because I knew he was breathing and everything was A OK.

Holding my little Angel. Please notice the sponge bob stickers on my hand. My sweet daughter decorated the baby's bassinet with sponge bob stickers and she put them all over mommy and all over every nurse and doctor that came into our room. Too cute!!!

Nana and Pops came for a visit. Here they are feeding the baby in the NICU.
Here he is moments after being born. He was still being measured -- look at those gorgeous lips!!!!

Another Angel Face....I am so blessed and so lucky to have two beautiful and healthy babies.

My sweet surprise from Alex. He did this when Aida was born too...I loved it then and I loved it now. Thank you Alex :)

During our biggest snow and ice storm of 2011, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy Christopher Alexander into the world. This was the week that all the schools in our area were closed for 4 days and the roads were terrible and covered and ice. We were sure that no matter what the weather brought us. We were going to have a baby snow or ice, rain or shine. And that is just what we did.

After laying eyes on his sweet face I can say that every symptom that we experienced during the pregnancy and the nine month wait dissapeared with one look at his sweet face. Here are some pictures of his big debut. He weighed 7lbs 8oz and was 19 inches long. He has dark hair and beautiful blue eyes that already make me melt when I look at him. He is gorgeous...and Aida is over the moon with being a big sister. She has been a dream. She helps with the baby, she loves her baby brother and she has been very patient with sharing mommy and daddy's time. All of our prayers for a healthy baby and a happy big sister have been answered. We have been abundantly blessed and are grateful for every gift we have been given and .look forward to every day to come with our beautiful new family.
Here are the pictures of Baby Christopher's birth...more to come...

Mommy and Aida the morning of Christopher's birth. I was on our way to the hospital stealing some kisses from my favorite girl.

Alex and I all preped for surgery.

The new happy family....

Baby Christopher spent a short stay in the NICU. We spent tons of time visiting and loving on our baby. My brother Michael came to visit and even got to help feed him.

Daddy and Christopher on our way home.

Mommy and her snow bunny.

Once I round up all the pictures on everyone's phones...we will post many many more.

Welcome to the world Baby Christopher!!!!

Dear Aida....

Dear Aida,

It's almost impossible to put into words how much joy you have brought into Mommy and Daddy's life over the past 3.5 years. You really are such a joy everyday and make my heart feel like it's so full it will burst with how much I love you. Tomorrow, you become a big sister. From one who knows ( I am a big sister too) this is going to be ONE of the greatest experiences of your life.

I know you are going to be the best big sister ever. I know you are going to protect and love your brother so so much; and by the way he already reacts to your voice...I know he is going to love and adore you too.

Thank you for being a million times better than the best daughter we could of ever imagined. We are so proud of you and pray that your life becomes even better with your brother every day.

I can't wait to watch you "teach him the ropes" I can't wait for you to hold him and rock him. I know you are really excited about rocking him too because you have demonstrated for me how you are going to do this -- and while your technique makes me a little nervous, your excitement about meeting "your baby Christopher" as you call him, makes my heart smile.

I promise you this is going to be another part of your life and you will be thankful -- as I am, that you have a little brother -- no matter how annoying he will be sometimes. Try not to push around too much, try to have patients when he wants to play with your toys, try not to be annoyed when he wants to hang out with you and your friends and when he does gross things just to annoy you. It really will be true that he will adore you and look up to you. Love him, guide him and let him be him. I know that you will do a great job with this...remember "you are a bad mamma jamma" and you can do anything. As much as you will both be different I know you will have the same warm and loving heart that you have right now.

Mommy and Daddy love you very much. We love you more than anything in the whole world and we are so excited about how your life is going to change for the better tomorrow. You are already the best Big Sister in the world.

Until then....

Mommy and Daddy
